do the next new thing

I would be happy to meet with your book club to discuss DO THE NEXT NEW THING virtually (through Zoom) or in-person (if timing and location allow).

Book Club Discussion Questions

Do you believe change can be good? Please give an example when you embraced change, and it turned out to be good for you.

Have you ever lived in a place where you had no friends? How did you meet people and build community?

Are you a worrier? Do many of the things you worry about actually happen? How do you attempt to control your worrisome thoughts?

How successful are you at “being present” or “living in the moment?” What tips do you have for accomplishing this?

What’s something you did when you were younger that you loved to do? (Ice skate, ride horses, dance) Might you do this NOW?

Do you think it’s harder to make friends in your twenties, forties, fifties, or seventies?

What’s something you’ve often wished to try but fear or nervousness holds you back?

Was your mom a good role model for trying/doing new things? Did you have another mentor in your life who taught you to embrace change?

Do you agree with the author? Do you think there is power in little new things? Can tackling a small, novel activity make you feel more confident?

Are you afraid of congealing?

Do you have a fun phone trick to share?

Do you have items you tend to save for SPECIAL occasions?

Have you and your spouse or partner arranged surprise date nights for one another?

When was the last time you did something new? How did you feel? Would you do it again?

What is your IT?

Pam Goes to School!

I love to visit schools to read Hector’s Rumbly Grumbly Tummy and discuss how and why our bodies make various sounds. And the noises other animals make too! I do not charge for these visits.
